Laser Skirmish is an exciting new sport that is enjoyed by players all over the world. It is a team based combat simulation and plays similar to paintball and airsoft but has the added convenience of infrared "laser tag style" technology. This technology is similar to the M.I.L.E.S. system that the military uses for training, but without the real guns. The guns fire no projectiles. Instead they fire a focused beam of Infrared light. All players wear sensors on their head which detect hits. After a certain number of hits you're dead and your gun turns off automatically. Games are usually played with two opposing teams. Each team must work together to achieve their objective; plant the bomb, reach the extraction zone, defend the base, etc. How does it compare to Paintball? Paintball is a great sport, but when paintball is played in the woods it does have some problems such as short ranges and cheating. Laser Skirmish solves these problems and has many other advantages.
If you're into simulated combat type sports or combat video games you should definitely try Laser Skirmish. For more general information about Laser Skirmish visit www.laserforums.com |
